That’s right buddy, Star Wars Legacy is epic. There is so much going on in the Legacy Universe that I don’t know where to begin.

First we’ll get you caught up with our main character Cade Skywalker. Cade survived a direct attack by the Sith when he was younger, and because of that spent much of his upbringing denying his Jedi heritage and living as a bounty hunter and pirate. Cade was effectively in hiding until he runs across a Jedi that makes him reconsider his past. It wasn’t until another Jedi sacrificed her life for Cade that he even really considered walking the path of the Jedi once again. Cade was eventually captured by the current Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Krayt.

By the time issue 23 rolls around Cades mother has helped her son escape from Darth Krayts clutches and he is free to once again choose his own path as it has become apparent that Darth Krayt failed in turning the young Skywalker to the dark side. It’s important to note that Cade has yet to fully choose any one path in particular and is currently operating as a wild card.

Darth Krayt desperately needs Cade because he has a rare Jedi gift of healing. Darth Krayt, formerly a Jedi himself, is slowly dying due to an infection by the Yuuzhan Vong that Cade has the power to alleviate. Sith aren’t known for asking nicely which prompted Cades escape. Krayts history as the Jedi A’Sharad Hett adds much welcome depth to the story and really serves as a link to the rest of the Star Wars universe. His main opposition is Roan Fel the current Emperor.

Roan Fel is a man on the run, Darth Krayt has taken his throne and the galaxy. This forces a tenuous alliance with the rebels he was once at odds with. Fel is very displeased with Cade Skywalkers stance as a wild card and seeks to have him brought in and put under guard, the fact that Darth Krayt wants Cade so bad is even greater reason to get his hands on Skywalker first. In a nutshell the greatest powers in the galaxy are in the midst of a great tug of war with Cade Skywalker as the prize.

Even if you don’t care for Star Wars reading this book might either change your mind or impress you with its depth and complexity. Cade is the most fully developed Skywalker yet with a unique path, and a unique background when compared to Luke and Anakin. Seeing a force ghost of Luke talking with Cade is worth getting this series alone. If you’re not reading Legacy my friends you are missing out.
