A-list newcomer Katherine Heigl has bought into her own hype hook, line and sinker. This 29 year-old gorgeous little snot has redefined the word 'ingrate' by habitually trashing projects she's involved in. It began with the movie that put her on the map, Knocked Up, and now she's throwing the writers of the hit show "Grey’s Anatomy" under the bus simply because she wants out of her TV contract.

Heigl, chomping at the bit to rack up some more of that Hollywood money, has withdrawn her name from the nomination pool for this year's Emmy Awards, telling the Los Angeles Times “I did not feel that I was given the material this season that warrants an Emmy Award nomination and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the academy organization, I withdrew my name from contention.” Not given the material? Flashback, princess: those same writers are why you won an Emmy last year.

Heigl also complained that she's become disenchanted with her "Grey's Anatomy" character, Izzie, after having a fling with her married best friend. "It was a ratings ploy," she said. "I'm trying to figure her out and keep her real." Hey guess what, Kat? If the writers are winning you Emmys, chances are they know a thing or two more than you about what it takes to get ratings.

Naturally, writers and producers on the show have taken the comments as the kick in the balls that they are. A source on "Grey's" said, “The show bent over backwards to accommodate her film schedule, and then she criticizes the show for lack of material? It’s an ungrateful slap in the face to the very writers responsible for her Emmy win in the first place.” 

I’ve never seen such a brilliant display of condescending narcissism. She needs a full Hollywood intervention to call her out on the overinflated bullshit prima donna that she is. In an interview with Vanity Fair, the diva declared that the film that finally got her some attention, Knocked Up, is "a little sexist. It paints the women as shrews, as humorless and uptight," she said, "and it paints the men as lovable, goofy, fun-loving guys. It was hard for me to love the movie." I'm sorry, did you not read the script? Does the $300,000 you made on the film seem small compared to the $6 million A-list paychecks you're cashing now? Because if it weren't for Knocked Up, you wouldn't be getting those parts. 

Furthermore, your thinly veiled fair-weather Mormon morality isn't swaying any love your way. Millions were undoubtedly just as offended as you when Isaiah Washington called T.R. Knight a faggot, but only you took it upon yourself to fight your BFF Knight's battle for him, ranting to anyone who would listen about how Washington should be fired. 

There are more dignified ways of navigating your career. Get out of Hollywood for a minute and clear your head a little bit. We want to like you. You're a good actress, and you're smoking hot. But for Christ's sake, try not to be so goddamned full of yourself. We don't hear you bitching about the horrible writing on that 27 Dresses trainwreck - now why could that be? Could it have something to do with the seven figures you made on it?
