Pokerstars' Euro Poker Tour in Monte Carlo was chocka-blocka full of celebs playing Texas Hold `Em for big bucks at the the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel and Resort. Music stars were especially in the mix. |
Yes, music is a big part of a poker tourney such as this. Such rappers as Nellie, The Dream, Christina Milian and indie rockers Joel McFadden from Good Charlotte were there showing off their poker-chops.
Besides real, actual, music stars, what do professional poker players listen to on their iPods in order to psych themselves up to take home the big pot and amass big, colorful chips in front of them, or calm themselves down when the chips aren’t going their way. What is the iPod soundtrack for their big wins, their big loses--and everything else in between?

We were on hand at the Euro Poker Tour--in Monte Carlo's playland of the rich--in order to find out. My guess it that all the poker players have Kenny Rogers' "The Gambler" on a continuos loop, because it teaches an important poker lesson such as:
1) Know when to hold `em.
2) Know when to fold `em.
3) Know when to walk away.
4) Know when to run!
The poker-playing musical answer will soon be mine!
