Preview: Season 6 of RENO 911!

We have some all new video from Season 6 of "RENO 911!"
Season 6 of "RENO 911!" starts this Wednesday (April 1) at 10:30pm, and it looks like they've got a hell of a comeback in store for fans! Not only can we look forward to a cast shuffle bringing two new cast-members to the force (how many perished in Season 5's deadly taco stand cliffhanger? It looks like three!), but we can also look forward to a ton of guest stars and a refreshed sense of purpose from Dangle and his crew. See for yourself here (NSFW):

One of the funniest moments of the clip is watching Dangle bust through a wooden gate and fall into an empty swimming pool. From what we can see here, we can look forward to guest spots from the likes of Carmen Electra, Craig Robinson, Jane Lynch, Patton Oswalt, Nick Swardson (Terry! He reportedly plays a more prominent role this season) and, of course, new police force additions Ian Roberts ( as macho cop Sergeant Jack Declan) and "The State" alum Joe Lo Truglio (as Deputy Frank Rizzo - yes, you read that right, Jerky.) In addition to an introductory appearance in Reno 911!: Miami, Roberts was great in Step Brothers, Talladega Nights and one of my all-time favorites, Anchorman. Needless to say, his resume puts him in the good graces of pretty much any "Reno" fan, so he'll likely go over well with audiences.

But that was just the warmup. I couldn't be more thrilled about Joe Lo Truglio's addition to the show. Going all the way back to "The State," Joe was always the Belushi-esque spaz of the group, and his absence on the show has been conspicuous over the years. He's done good things with his time away from the gang, appearing in Superbad, Pineapple Express, Role Models, Stella Shorts and so on. It's a shame to see them go, but I'll happily trade in Garcia, Johnson and Kimball for his. The show needs some new blood, and his is the perfect type match.

"RENO 911!"'s premiere season was among the most successful in network history, and it continues to be one of the Comedy Central's most highly-rated series - despite the fact that they play the same eight goddamned episodes over and over again. I can't tell you how many times I've seen Kimball take Johnson to the Christian singles mixer, or how many cheerleaders I've watched Jonesy hit on while dong traffic guard duty for bitch-slapping Garcia. For those who missed it the first time, I had the chance to interview "Reno" stars and creators Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon, and they gave us a bit of a hint on what to expect in Season 6.
