Flight of the Conchords has made a huge splash in the United States and the comedy is on its way to becoming an HBO flag-ship series. The New Zealand comedic duo, consisting of Jermaine Clement and Bret McKenzie, has become a major pop-culture icon, warranting repeat viewings of their Season 1 episodes. Fortunately for fans and newcomers alike, HBO will broadcast the new second season starting on January 18, 2009.

However, Christmas will come early for some of us, as the first episode is due to premiere on HBO.com on the 22nd. Even sooner, like today,  FunnyOrDie.com has exclusively released the first episode, only viewable in the United States. Check out the episode below for plenty of laughs.
