Peter Parker has always been one thing, above all else: a survivor. He's endured personal hardships that no other person could likely endure, from supervillains to deaths of loved ones, to the erasure of huge chunks of his life... but through it all, he's lived to fight another day.
It seems, if the cover to Marvel PREVIEWS #88 is any indication, that may no longer be the case:

The issue of PREVIEWS hits later this month on November 24, soliciting comics that will be shipping in February of 2011. Coincidentally, this cover tease was released on the same day that Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos' run on Amazing Spider-Man begins with the much-hyped story arc "Big Time" (watch the trailer for "Big Time"). While it's surely clever marketing to get people to jump on board Amazing now before the whole "death" angle begins, I'm not entirely convinced that this is a literal story about Peter Parker's death, considering both Daredevil and a member of the Fantastic Four are "dying" soon as well.
Then again, stranger (and stupider) things have happened, so I guess it'll be anyone's guess until Marvel officially comments. Stay tuned to CraveOnline for all the latest in the next big superhero death!
