A few years ago, Kitty Pryde made the ultimate sacrifice at the end of Joss Whedon and John Cassaday's phenomenal run on Astonishing X-Men, when she trapped herself inside of a world-killing bullet in order for it to phase through the planet. That was the last we'd seen of her, at least until Uncanny X-Men #522 hits shelves in March.
Today, Marvel Comics released a promo video announcing Kitty's return, also stating: "Because You Demanded It! Kitty Pryde returns this March in Uncanny X-Men #522—but how? And what does this mean for the X-Men? Don’t miss a single issue of Uncanny X-Men!"
And they are right, you know. I stopped reading anything X-Men after Whedon's Astonishing ended, and Uncanny #522 will be the first X-book I've picked up in a couple of years. Well played, Marvel. Well played indeed.
