The folks who run Marvel Comics are some smart cookies, with the recent return to World War II with the Invaders/Avengers crossover it could be said that Marvel was getting a new generation up to speed with their more classic super group. Why? Because according to HitFix.com the Invaders may play a part in the new Cap movie.
The guys at HitFix talked to Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, who explained that Marvel is apparently looking to cash in on the same idea they used for the Wolverine flick. I know some of you more hardcore fans may be shuttering at the thought of that but it might work for the more obscure Invaders. The Invaders include British heroes like Union Jack which could add an international flare to an otherwise uber patriotic film, one that might be hard to market overseas.
There is no word on a casting choice for the part of Steve Rogers or any character as a matter of fact and it didn’t look they would have a choice anytime soon. Nevertheless the early buzz about the film seems pretty good, we’ll have more info as it develops.
