According to USA Today DC comics will be bringing back the classic full page comics spread to at least one newspaper. USA Today and your local comic shop will see a 12 week return to newsprint by some of DC’s best creative talent, the stories will be printed on old fashioned newsprint pages for about 3.99.
Look for John ARcudi anhd Lee Bermejo on Superman, Brian Azzarello on Batman (no word yet on whether or not this will be Bruce Wayne or Dick Grayson), Adam and JHoe Kubert will be tackling Sgt. Rock, Paul Pope get’s Adam Strange, Dave Gibbons Kamandi, Kyle Baker will take Hawkman and last but not least Neil Gaiman and Michael Allred on Metamorpho.
I remember reading the Spider-Man stripo by Stan Lee and Larry Leiber when I was a kid, and it’s cool to see DC go back to its roots so to speak. Be on the lookout for 11 Superman strips to hit USA Today on their website and be sure to come to your local shop for the rest of these great stories.
