PJ Bickett is out, Josh Blaylock is in…
On December 1st Devils Due Publishing (DDP) made a change at the executive position. CEO PJ Bickett will exit his role effective immediately. In his stead will be Josh Blaylock taking up the role of interim CEO. Pickett served as CEO for 14 months and is responsible for the opening of the DDP Los Angeles office in 2007.
Dark Times comes to Myspace…
The January and February editions of Myspace Dark Horse Presents will feature a two-part story featuring Dass Jennir from the landmark Dark Times series from the Star Wars Universe. The story will feature Dass in a brand new adventure that follows up from his appearance in the Dark Times books. Dark Times was one of the best Star Wars series ever and this should be no different.
Wolverine: Switch back…
That’s the name of the newest series featuring everyone’s favorite Canadian wild man. The book is a brand new 48 page one shot that will hit in January and will feature two stories by Joseph Clarke and Das Pastoras and Gregg Hurwitz and Juan Doe. The cover will be drawn by Das Pastoras.
And then there was Lexi and Hex…
There is a rumor swirling that Punisher director Lexi Alexander may be getting offers for a slew of comic book movie adaptations. Chief among these offers is the film Jonah Hex. Alexander has admitted that she is among a group of directors being courted for the job and a lot hinges on whether Josh Brolin takes the role. There should also be some consideration as to whether her Punisher movie does well at the box office.

With the new Punisher movie opening Friday Lionsgate has launched an interactive web comic to coincide with the release. The comic is said to feature still photos and clips from the movie as well as a good look at the characters.
Move over and let the man through…
Geoff Johns has made it clear that he would love to write more adaptations for some of his favorite DC comics’ characters. After doing Smallville the scribe apparently has a bug for writing for the big screen. Johns stated that he would love a crack at a Superman or Flash project. We think it would be an excellent idea, who knows these characters better than Goff Johns anyway?

It looks like another star from the hit series Rome will make a Marvel movie. This time it’s Kevin McKidd (whose character was best friends with Ray Stevenson’s character on the show) who is possibly slotted to play Thor in the film set to be directed by Kenneth Branagh (likely, but not set). According to MTV McKidd confirmed that Branagh would be directing.
