Welcome to Comic Quick picks. In this section we’ll look at four books that have been out for a while that you should consider picking up. They might be pivotal pieces to a larger puzzle or books you should look out for. His month we have one books from DC, Marvel, Dark Horse, and DDP. Take a look and pick these books up dammit.

The Cleaners (Dark Horse)

This is the first part of a four issue series written by Mark Wheaton. This story scores huge points for originality with a CSI style murder mystery left for the reader to try and solve. Not your run of the mill cape and tights book by any means, definitely worth picking up.

Batman and the Outsiders #12 (DC)

This issue stands out because somebody dies. I won’t tell you who, but its worth picking up if only for collection purposes. The story is dark and gritty and also marks a major turning point for Batgirl and the Outsiders. Fun stuff.

Special Avengers: The Initiative (Marvel)

This one shot deals with some of the loose plot threads coming out of Avengers The Initiative. Dealing primarily with Hardball and his connection to Hydra, he’s in deep and is running out of options. Unfortunately he ends up dragging his girlfriend Komodo into the mess as well. How this book ends will really surprise you so pick it up.

Drafted #11 (DDP)

This epic written by Mark powers is only getting better with each issue. This particular book marks a turning point in the battle for earth as humanity begins taking an active role in their own defense and survival. The action is intense and the artwork is excellent
