Batman Begins DVD

Batman Begins was a great summer film and easily the best Batman film ever made. The film had a solid script, great actors and great direction from Christopher Nolan (Memento, Insomnia). Leaving no detail of the Batman mythos unexplored, the film chooses to explain everything.

Want to know where the Batmobile came from, it's in there. Want to know where the Batsuit came from, it’s in there. Wondering about Bruce’s early years, they cover that too. Nolan has left no stone unturned, in what is the first in hopefully a long line of quality Batman films.

The DVD comes in two versions, normal and super sized. I don’t really mess with the standard editions so we will just go over the Deluxe Edition. The disc has a Batman Begins mobile game demo and some links on the DVD-Rom. Also ion the disc is an interactive comic called Inner Demons. The Deluxe Edition also comes with a 72 page comic with a reprint of Batman’s first appearance in Detective Comics, The Man Who Falls and The Long Halloween.

The second disc also has documentaries on the history of Batman, concept art, story development and casting. Also included are features on The Tumbler (aka the Batmobile), The Batsuit, weaponry and the design of Gotham City.

Folks there are some Easter Eggs, but who knows what they are since I have not seen the disc yet. As is the standard the added features are unrated giving the disc a rating of NR. With all of that said, it looks like an above average deluxe edition for an above average film.
