Admittedly, the last issue of Bruce’s return was a bit disappointing (read our review of Batman: Return of Bruce Wayne #2), but these new pages from the pirate-themed issue #3 has got me drooling all over again. The art of Yanick Paquette is already leaps and bounds above the tragic results of Frazer Irving’s shlock fest that populated issue #2, and I’m loving the brief flashback to Final Crisis.
Hopefully we’ll get to see a decent amount of swashbuckling from Bruce, or perhaps even some raping, pillaging and plundering. Okay, maybe not the raping so much. Return of Bruce Wayne #3 comes out next week on June 23, and will be shipping with the regular cover by Andy Kubert and a 1:25 variant from Paquette.
