It's been a while since we've seen a Spirit book that was worth indulging in. With the launch of First Wave, DC has brought The Spirit back to the forefront of monthly comics, and continues that trend with the launch of The Spirit #1, hitting stores today. Written by Mark Schultz with art from Moritat, this new series pits The Spirit against longtime rival The Octopus and an evil crime syndicate known as The Golden Tree, as they attempt to cement control of Central City.
As a special treat, The Spirit will also feature a co-feature called The Spirit: Black & White, featuring the industry's top talents. To start things off in issue #1, Denny O'Neil and Bill Sienkiewicz. Sold? Thought so.
The Spirit #1 is available now, with a regular cover by Ladronn and a 1:10 variant from Mark Schultz.
