Ever since Tony Daniel rescued Batman from wallowing in mediocrity, The Dark Knight's solo book has been consistently entertaining, providing just the right mix of romantic liaisons, action, badassery, and emotionally damaging events. All of that glory continues next week with Batman #695.
This issue sees Batman teaming up with everyone's favorite bird-obsessed villain The Penguin on a quest to take down the mutually despised Black Mask, who seems to be building quite a little super-villain stable for himself. Like all classic hero/villain team-ups, it will be interesting to see if The Bat and The Penguin can truly co-exist.
