Collected Editions: Tank Girl

I’d be lying if I said I knew a lot about Tank Girl, a quirky, often crazy adventure about a mercenary in the ruined outback of Australia. Recently I had the chance to get familiar with Tank Girl and the books blew me away, almost literally.

I won’t waste your time telling you why you should read a classic like Tank Girl; instead I’ll tell you why these collected editions are such a good idea. Some of you out there might be interested in the how as much as you care about the finished product. More so than the story the notes from the creators of the books were fascinating.

This three book set will let you be a fly on the wall for the creative process’ involved with producing issues of Tank Girl and are more than enough reason to buy these collected editions of those classic stories.

Tank Girl is also a perfect gift for a comic fan that likes to leave the beaten path and enjoy stories that come seemingly out of left field. That’s the best way to describe the action that I see before me. Tank Girl is a strong lead character with a great deal of history; you can be a part of that history by picking up all three books.

If you only read mainstream books then you might not be gung ho for Tank Girl but I would say give it a chance because you never know. All three issues are available now through Titan Books and they retail for around 15 bucks which is a steal for this comic classic, do yourself a favor and enjoy these.
