Legacy #34

Darth Krayts Legacy.

Sometimes when you win you lose. That seems to be the lesson that Cade Skywalker is learning the hard way as Legacy revisits the death of Darth Krayt. After a two issue side story we get back to the stars of this particular chapter of Star Wars and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve missed reading about Cade and his adventurers on the fringes of the force.

What we know right now is that Krayt is in fact dead, but that he wasn’t killed by Cade but by his own man Darth Wyyrlok. Wyyrlok has managed to ururp power right from under the other Sith’s noses. Making it seem like Krayt is simply recovering from his injuries Wyyrlok has plans to rule the Sith in his masters name.

On the other side of things Cade and his crew have rushed back home to get much needed medical treatment for Azlyn Rae, who is not only dying but losing her will to live. Cade is a such a strong character, he imposes his will where he can and doesn’t take no for an answer even when its harmful to him. John Ostrander has really shaped the character of Cade well. This time however his head strong actions might bring about something far worse than he ever imagined.

The question I have is what will come of the Jedi in this new situation. The Sith a wounded but not divided, and Cades actions have drawn the Jedi into a collision course with a still organized Sith. I don’t know what’s going to happen (which is where the fun is) but I have a feeling that there is going to be bloodshed.

It’s good to see Legacy get back on track after the two issue break they took from the main story, in the end it was a good way to build up momentum coming into this issue, which was really worth the wait.
