The Legend of Zelda Gets Epic Fan Art for 25th Birthday

Yesterday was The Legend of Zelda’s 25th anniversary, originally releasing on February 21, 1986 on the Famicom in Japan. The game hit Stateside and Europe on the NES one year later. And while many websites and fans were paying tribute to the legacy of Princess Zelda, Link and Ganondorf yesterday, this one particular piece made our jaws drop. This is what we call the ultimate tribute to one of the greatest video game franchises ever made.

Prepare your eyes for the most epic Legend of Zelda fan art you will ever see. We feel comfortable making that proclamation. As an added bonus, there is also a making-of video that shows how Japanese artist ag+ created the highly detailed, entire-franchise-encompassing piece. Enjoy!
