This year marks the 20th anniversary of Epic Games as a development studio. While the company is busy supporting Infinity Blade II and Gears of War 3 post-launch -- and prepping the release of Gears 3's first story-driven DLC, “RAAM’s Shadow” -- they also have their sights set on the horizon. On what comes next.
And we’re apparently going to get a taste of that during the Spike Video Game Awards, airing this coming Saturday, December 10, 2011, at 8pm EST. Epic design director Cliff Bleszinski has shot a short, tantalizing teaser promo for the upcoming award ceremony, promising something new and shiny from Epic Games to be revealed at the VGAs.
We can handling wait.
So make sure you tune in for the show (even if it’s just for the game announcement reveals). We already know they plan to show off a new BioWare game, a new Alan Wake XBLA title, a new PS3 exclusive called The Last of Us, and a re-reveal of Metal Gear Solid: Rising, as well as the aforementioned Epic title. And we believe that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
