Last Sunday on “The Walking Dead,” nothing exciting happened and the characters kept having the same conversations over and over again.
Wait.... no... that was just a slight exaggeration about what was happening in “The Walking Dead’ in season two right around this time. The pace of the story has been much faster this season. And with episode 6, the inevitable conflict between the survivors led by Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and the Governor’s (David Morrissey) forces at Woodbury finally came into focus.
The Governor sent Merle Dixon (Michael Rooker) and three other men to silence Michonne (Danai Gurira), but she managed to escape with only a bullet wound on her leg. The injured Michonne chanced upon Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Glenn (Steven Yeun) on a supply run... but Merle took them hostage before Michonne even considered approaching them.
In the closing moments of the episode, Rick stared in disbelief as he saw Michonne standing unmolested by the walkers in front of the prison gates. This week’s preview scene picks up right at that moment as Rick apparently doesn’t know what to make of Michonne as she communicates silently before the zombies finally notice her...
And in the second preview scene of the week, we check in with Glenn... who isn’t doing so hot at the moment. Even though Merle is working him over, Glenn still has enough fire to try to intimidate Merle into backing down.
The penultimate episode of “The Walking Dead’s” fall season is coming this Sunday to AMC!
