Metallica May Play for Mariano Rivera … at Yankee Stadium

Most Craved: Ya know, he probably deserves every bit of this.

Retiring New York Yankees closer Mariano Rivera has entered the game to Metallica's "Enter Sandman" for years. Now the band could play him out as he ends his historic (and likely HoF) career.

Crave's NESN learned Friday Metallica is playing the Apollo Theater September 21, the night before a pre-game ceremony in Rivera's honor at Yankee Stadium and observed this could be the opportunity for the band to play live for Mo.

The Yankees wouldn't confirm anything so we will just have to wait and see.
