Golf isn’t the sexiest of sports. Largely revolving around a bunch of people wearing outrageously unattractive clothing, riding around in carts and being watched by a crowd consisting of middle-aged white men while they hit a ball with an overpriced stick, there’s nothing about it that screams sex appeal. However, former San Diego State University golfer Paige Spiranac is providing that it may just be a misconception, and that golf can be the most attractive sport this side of beach volleyball if those silly clubs are put in the right hands.
The 22-year-old Monument, Colorado native is looking to earn a spot on the LPGA Tour with her golfing skills. Hopefully by that point I will have addressed my prejudices against the sport of rich people hitting balls into the distance, prejudices which I’ve harbored since that one time I embarrassed myself on a golf course by letting go of a club mid-swing and then having to retrieve it from out of a lake.
