Nike’s FuelBand Fitness Software Could Make its Way to the iWatch

The iWatch could come equipped with Nike's own FuelBand software in a huge partnership.

Nike and Apple could be teaming up together, as reports suggest that Nike may bring its FuelBand software to the iWatch.

Nike has already confirmed that it is downsizing its FuelBand team, but rather than this being a sign that the company is giving up on the fitness technology, a "source familiar with Nike's thinking" has told Mashable that the FuelBand's software will instead be making its way to other wearable platforms, including Apple's upcoming iWatch.

Apple hired Nike design director Ben Shaffer – who led the development of the FuelBand last year to work on its new portable hardware, which adds more credibility to the rumor. The iWatch is also said to have a strong focus on fitness, and if that is to be the case, then this partnership would make a lot of sense.
