In the world of DC Comics Bombshells, it was the superheroines who came to the forefront during World War II, and they’ve changed the world for the better. But that doesn’t mean that all of the threats in the DC have been defeated. Far from it!

Writer Marguerite Bennett and artist Rachael Stott are diving into the second part of a brand new DC Comics Bombshells storyline this week with a tale that will unite many of the heroines in Russia. And if our exclusive preview pages from Chapter # 77 are any indication, it looks like Raven’s father, Trigon, may be the book’s next big bad!

After making her name with Doctor Who, Star Trek, and Ghostbusters comics, this is also Stott’s first ever DC project. And she offered a few exclusive thoughts about joining Bennett on this title.

“I’m so excited that this chapter of DC Bombshells is my first project for DC,” shared Stott. “It feels amazing and I can’t believe my luck! Many of the Bombshells character designs are already iconic in the world of comics, so being allowed to play in that sandpit is a great privilege and a lot of fun. The biggest challenge is trying to forget all the incredible artists who have worked on it before me or else I think I would’ve been too nervous to pick up a pencil!”

Here’s DC’s official description of DC Comics Bombshells Chapter # 77

“Back on the now-risen Atlantis, Raven has a premonition that prompts Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Zatanna and Constantine to follow her to Russia to help the starving civilians there.”

DC Comics Bombshells Chapter # 77 will be available for download this Friday, January 6 via the DC Comics App, Readdcentertainment.com, iBooks, comiXology, Google Play, Kindle Store, Nook Store, and iVerse ComicsPlus.
