Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows…and perhaps he knows all too well.
Decades after the heyday of the Shadow, Batman has been confronted by a threat that appears to be the Shadow himself. And this Shadow appears to be targeting his old allies and even his own descendant. For once, even Batman can’t find his prey alone, and he’s turned to Ducard, one of his mentors before he became Batman. The problem is that either the Shadow was Ducard all along, or Bruce’s mentor has been replaced. Either way, it’s on!
In CraveOnline’s exclusive preview for Batman/ The Shadow # 2 , the Shadow attempts to convince Bruce Wayne that he isn’t a threat, but he already knows too much. And if Lamont Cranston isn’t dead, then who or what challenged the Dark Knight? The answers are overdue.
This issue was written by Steve Orlando from a story by Orlando and Scott Snyder, with art and cover by Riley Rossmo, as well as colors by Ivan Plascencia. Tim Sale and Chris Burnham drew the open order variant covers for this issue. Here’s the official description from DC Comics and Dynamite Entertainment:
“The second chapter in the historic team-up of history’s greatest vigilantes is here! The Shadow must convince Batman of his innocence so the two can seek out their true common foe, the Stag, before he takes out Batman’s greatest allies.”
Batman/The Shadow # 2 will be released this Wednesday, May 24, in comic stores everywhere.
