Nintendo has confirmed that Metroid Prime 4, the long-awaited new entry in the Retro Studios’ long overlooked FPS franchise, is officially on its way to the Nintendo Switch.
With the last home console Metroid release being the controversial Metroid: Other M, Metroid fans will be over the moon to learn that Nintendo will no longer neglect the series, officially returning to the critically-acclaimed Prime saga.
There’s no word on who will helm the project, though Retro Studios is presumably on board to resume the franchise. No trailer nor gameplay footage was offered, with Nintendo only revealing the upcoming game’s logo. There’s also no release date, but at least it’s on its way, right?
