Would you believe that it’s been nearly 18 months since Rick and Morty’s second season came to an end? And while the cliffhanger ending was resolved with a hilariously unexpected season premiere on April 1st, the wait for new episodes has been agonizing. But it won’t be much longer now!

During a live-stream event on Adult Swim’s site, Rick and Morty co-creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland dropped the first trailer for season 3…and it’s the most bananas thing we’ve seen…since Rick and Morty season 2. Let’s just say that it starts out with Rick turning himself into a pickle and gets wilder from there. Half of the time, we can barely describe what we’re seeing. But it looks like Summer will be teaming up with a cyborg version of herself, and Jerry will reenter the picture at least one more time.

As for the rest, it’s anyone’s guess. This trailer is pure madness in animated form. And we love it!

“Rick and Morty is Adult Swim’s most scientifically accurate animated comedy. Created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, it catalogues the bizarre misadventures of a bored scientific genius/drunkard and his socially awkward grandson, Morty. Their exploits tend to have unintended consequences for Morty’s dysfunctional family, especially his unfailingly mediocre father, Jerry.”

Rick and Morty season 3 will premiere on Sunday, July 30, at 11pm on Adult Swim.
