The Son of Anarchy is going to fight giant monsters in giant robots!

All right, I've never seen Sons of Anarchy. Sue me. So when I report that one of the stars of the FX series has been cast in Guillermo Del Toro's Pacific Rim, it means jack squat to me. Still, it's nice to report that unlike Del Toro's last couple of directorial gigs, this one genuinely appears to be coming together. That's right: giant monsters versus giant robots, with an actual budget behind it. Suck it, Power Rangers Turbo!

Charlie Hunnam has been cast in Pacific Rim, according to Hollywood Reporter, who say, "The details of the role is (sic) being kept secret although online details describe the character as a pilot of one of the mechas that needs to climb back into the driver's chair." Oh, you mean these plot details? You're welcome.

Crave Online will return with more Pacific Rim news if we ever get all the dirty play on word jokes out of our system. (Seriously, we had to cut like four of them out of this news item. It was ridiculous.)
