When Peter Jackson announced that he was going to make two Hobbit movies instead of, well, one, our first thought was not "What are they going to be called?" It was, "Somebody's milking this franchise for all it's worth." But eventually that other thing did occur to us and how we have our answer.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is now scheduled to be released on December 14, 2012. The Hobbit: There and Back Again is currently set for December 13, 2013.
