Geeks sure do love things: Battlestar Galactica, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Lost, Robot Chicken, The Bionic Woman remake… Well, they love some things. Now, the stars of those series have united to star in Sexy Evil Genius, the directorial debut from Shawn Piller, the executive producer of Greek on ABC Family.
Well, there goes the geek cred.
Or maybe not. Sexy Evil Genius was written by Scott Lew, formerly a writer on TV's The Dead Zone. Lew is afflicted with ALS, and wrote the script – about a group of strangers who are invited to a downtown Los Angeles bar by their mutual ex-girlfriend (Sackhoff) for mysterious purposes – using a laser on his forehead. Overcoming adversity, awesome techology, and a script that promises at least a modicum of kick-ass (Sackhoff apparently more than lives up to the title) make for one intriguing little production. Hollywood Reporter had the story.
Crave Online will be back with more Sexy Evil Genius news, but right now we're distracted after searching for Katee Sackhoff on Google Image Search. Mmm… Sackhoff…
