Since starting their docu-comics last year, Bluewater Productions as amped up their output significantly. Starting with its Female Force series, Bluewater has now included Political Power, which aims to take a non-skewed look at important political figures, which launched in July with Barack Obama, Ted Kennedy, Ronal Reagan, and Colin Powell. The goal of the series is to provide a fair, balanced look at these important people, without including any sort of opinion one way or the other, and so far, they've succeeded.

Political Power: George W. Bush

Coming in December, however, Bluewater is set to tackle one of the most controversial figures in recent memory, George W. Bush. The issue will be written and drawn by Joshua LaBello, but the narrative will consist entirely of Bush's own words, taken from speeches from throughout his eight years in office, ranging from 9/11 to the War on Terror, to the shady-2000 election, and Hurricane Katrina.

Darren G. Davis, President of Bluewater Productions says "People have strong feelings about Bush. He's both vilified and hailed. So we thought the best way to present a fair approach to his story, was to let the man himself tell it. No editorializing. We will let readers draw their own conclusions."

LaBello also pointed out that the book would indeed cover Bush's life, but the focus of the story would be on his time in office, as well as saying "This book is not for the supporters of George W. Bush. Nor is it for those critical of him. It is a documentary of Bush's time in office for the benefit of future generations." A noble gesture, to be sure.

Bush is one of the most divisive characters in human history. If there was any one man that could have drawn the US into another Civil War, it was him. Regardless of how you feel about the man, you can't deny your fascination with him, and Bluewater's Political Power will surely capitalize on that, especially when non-bias presentations of history are few and far between.

Political Power: George W. Bush is solicited for December.
