Pre-Screening of Hulk vs. Wolverine
Are you kidding me?!? The movie doesn’t hit until January so bragging rights alone amongst the nerd circles is great enough. That isn’t even including the fact that out of all the Marvel cartoons coming out this one looks like it could actually be really cool in multiple ways, and watching Hulk and Wolverine beat the living crap out of each other for 70 minutes can never be bad. Seriously if the entire movie was Hulk shows up and screams "Hulk is strongest their is!" and Wolverine said "oh yeah bub?" and the rest of the movie is them fighting, then sign me up. So make sure you get in line as early as possible, cause seating is obviously limited.
Pre-Screening of Spaced
That’s right I’ve been saying that England is cooler than us over here for a really long time, but we are working on it as we have BBC America, The Office, and Simon Pegg, well now he is willing to share his early ventures with us as he releases season one of his British hit comedy Spaced on DVD in America. Spaced is probably one of the greatest nerd comedies ever and the fact that it will be on DVD here is probably some of the most exciting news for those of us who don’t have international DVD players. However if you don’t want to front the cash right away, then make sure to get a first look at Comic-Con Friday night, and even have a chance to meet Simon Pegg and Director Edgar Wright. For those in the California area however you can simply check out Kevin Smith’s Myspace page and find out the details of Simon Pegg’s signing at Kevin’s Comic Shop, Lazer Blazer.
First Look at G.I. Joe
Early pictures of this have received mixed reactions from fans who think Ray Park looks stellar as Snake Eyes, but the commander being a Joe seems to add some worries to long time fans, however at Comic-Con speculation can officially begin when they release the first trailer. Not only that but spokesmen from Hasbro plan on releasing their new line of toys and marketing ideas for their newest blockbuster remake. Hasbro has also planned on some very “special” guests that they are refusing to release into the media, so we will have to be patient and wait to see who that could be, all though I know my hopes are for Ray Park because he is cool, and Director Stephen Sommers, because he will have the most insight out of everyone.
Transformers 2 Panel
So far the idea of showing the teaser is mostly speculation and rumors, but the Transformers 2 team will for sure be there discussing Transformers 2 and all of it’s updates, including a bit more on the story line, where production currently is, and where they hope to take the franchise, with all this said, they have been filming long enough that this would be the perfect time to surprise fans with at the very least, a teaser. So make sure you swing by the Transformers 2 Panel as you really would hate to miss out on the chance to see any type of footage at all from next summer’s Transformers 2.
Those are the top of top things I would be looking for at Comic-Con as far as pre-releases go, but make sure you give yourself plenty of time to walk around the sales floor, stop by lots of booths, and even make sure to stop by plenty of other panels that will be happening. See ya next week for the last Count Down to Comic-Con!
