Gears of War is a perfect blend of Sci-Fi and modern warfare. The game is a ton of fun to play with a story that really draws you into the game and its environments. The main character Marcus Fenix is one of the coolest video game characters ever and his cohorts make the game worthwhile all by themselves. Considering how much fun there is to be had with the game, it should be a no brainer that the comic is good… and it is. Actually it’s very good, so good in fact that I have to tell you about the most recent addition to the Gears of War collection, the Gears of War Sourcebook.

There is a comic book story in the sourcebook, a short snippet of what you can expect from the monthly adventure that is Gears of War. This book serves as a jumping on point for new readers and a chance to see some familiar faces for the familiar. There are tons of great pin ups and galleries to along with the story that serves to put you in the mindset of a Gear.
