Halo-8 Entertainment has announced the release date of their newest video project, an "illustrated film" entitled Godkiller: Walk Among Us, releasing October 6 on DVD. Walk Among Us is the first episode of a three episode series, continuing with part two on November 24 and the third on January 26. Along with the third episode, Halo-8 will be releasing the theatrical feature film of the same name.

It seems Godkiller is in a similar vain to the hot-at-the-moment trend of motion comics, as we've seen more and more publishers doing this, from Marvel with their Spider-Woman comic to DC/Warner Brothers releasing the Watchmen motion comic on DVD. Godkiller is based on writer Matt Pizzolo's comic book (who is also directing the film) with artist Anna Muckcracker that sees a young man on a desperate search to find his sister a new heart in a post-apocalyptic Earth that has been colonized by aliens.
The voice talent is vast, spanning a multitude of entertainment mediums, including sci-fi god Lance Henriksen, Danielle Harris, Nicki Clyne, Davey Havok, Justin Pierre, and Bill Moseley. According to the press release, Halo-8's "illustrated films" achieve their effect by "mixing the elements of anime, radio drama, video games, and motion comics. Utilizing the original artwork from the comic book, the 'illustrated film' adds 3D CGI, motion animation, visual effects, elaborate sound design, music, and voice-acting performances."
Time will tell if Halo-8 can deliver on their quest to develop the motion comics revolution, and be sure check back here with CraveOnline in a couple of weeks to see what we thought.
