CraveOnline: Can you buy these shirts or were they made for the show?
Leonard Roberts: It was actually a gift from Jesse Alexander earlier this evening. I had it in my car and last minute I thought, if there's any place to rock the Vote Petrelli shirt, it's the Saturn awards.
Leonard Roberts: We've done some green screen stuff.
CraveOnline: Is working on special effects ever distracting to your acting?
Leonard Roberts: Well, our VFX guy, Mark Kolpack is phenomenal and the thing I love about him and what he does is that we can sit down and we can talk about what we want. We have an opportunity with D.L.’s power to integrate it into the scene, it’s not necessarily so extreme and big that it detaches you. A lot of D.L.’s powers have come out of high emotional situations. You have the extreme things like getting shot through the head, but then there are things where you find that he can use his power to connect emotionally. And there’s a difference in my stuff isn’t as extreme as say, Masi’s or Hayden’s, where it really takes you out of it. We do the scene, we add the plate, the window or whatever, the door and it’s cool. It hasn’t gotten to be frustrating so you just find a way to make it work and make it seamless with the character.
CraveOnline: How do you like coming together with the cast?
Leonard Roberts: It's been a big payoff. I love it. As an actor it's cool to get off the bench and do a little something. And then just for the fans, I think it's great to see the entire cast together for once on screen. I think that's going to be cool. When it all happens and you see everybody on the screen doing their thing, it's not going to disappoint.
CraveOnline: Interpret this however you like. Will things get physical between you and Ali?
Leonard Roberts: Mm, yeah. There would be some physical, not Oliva Newton John physical, but maybe a little Robert Rodriguez physical, possibly.
CraveOnline: What sort of choreography have you done to prepare for love scenes or fight scenes?
Leonard Roberts: It's funny, the first time we worked together and we had a big fight, that was kind of the payoff for the fans. That became a love scene. It was kind of cool. Tim was calling us Mr. and Mrs. Smith for a while. This one, not so much. My choreography's minimal for this one.
CraveOnline: Do you like doing the stunts?
Leonard Roberts: Yeah. I come from theater so I’m always the big physical guy. I like doing that stuff. Playing around.
CraveOnline: Has Heroes been part of bringing this genre to the mainstream?
Leonard Roberts: I hope so. I think that our show gives a lot to the sci-fi genre fans and no one's alienated. I don't know if you can even call it strictly a genre show. It has such a wide appeal and it doesn't talk down to either audience. That's what I really love about it. I love that it's smart, it's quick, sci-fi fans dig it and then I know people that really love film, they're just like, "I'm really into the show." So you can't get a better combo than that.
CraveOnline: Can I have one of those shirts?
Leonard Roberts: They're gifts so I kind of treasure them. I got a bunch, I was like, "Which one do I bring."
CraveOnline: Are you selling them on ebay?
Leonard Roberts: Oh yeah, put a kid through college with these.
CraveOnline: Have you had Adrian sign it?
Leonard Roberts: No, he'll hook me up. He got me a couple. It's like "Vote Petrelli: He can Fly."
CraveOnline: How has your life changed since being on the show?
Noah Gray-Cabey: I've done a lot of fun things. I'm here tonight which is super cool and I'm having a great time so far. And so I think my life has become a lot more fun and interesting. And I get to read all the scripts which makes it extra cool.
Noah Gray-Cabey: Nope. They don't give us anything. They're mean to us. No, I'm just kidding. They're all very nice but they don't tell us anything which makes it actually really interesting. So all the cast members are all also on the edge of their seats.
CraveOnline: Are you doing anything this summer?
Noah Gray-Cabey: I'm going to summer camp for three weeks. I'm super excited. It's coming up very fast.
CraveOnline: When you start shooting again?
Noah Gray-Cabey: Not quite sure.
CraveOnline: What has been your best time filming on the show or your favorite episode?
Noah Gray-Cabey: I can't say because I was traveling on one of the episodes and my dad says that it might have been the best ever, so I would have to watch that show to really judge. I was traveling so I'm sorry I missed that but I was traveling from Toledo to California. I'm not quite sure but so far my favorite episode is where Nathan shoots up into the sky and then goes really fast and makes the cloud.
CraveOnline: Is it weird to be recognized by strangers?
CraveOnline: What's the common question people ask you?
Noah Gray-Cabey: What's coming up, basically.
CraveOnline: Do you ever make stuff up to fool them?
Noah Gray-Cabey: No, but what I did do once, it was very funny, I'm glad. People sometimes say, "You know something? You look just like that kid from Heroes. Do you ever watch Heroes? You look just like that kid." So one time me and my dad said, "Really? Yeah, we get that a lot."
Noah Gray-Cabey: No, what I do more is read what people say about me. There is some funny stuff in there and it doesn’t bug me when someone says, "I don't like that kid." It's just hysterically funny to me. I'm just like, "Oh, that is so mean but that is so funny" because it's me so I don't really get bugged by it if they're made. It doesn't really matter to me so it's actually kind of fun.
