Oliver Queen takes on Clint Barton.

To be honest I’ve never much understood the fascination with archer’s in comic books. You have some big powerful guy like Thanos running around and a guy with a bow and arrow is supposed to take him down? That was until I saw The Atom and Green Arrow take down Darkseid in the ‘Rock of Ages’ JLA series. Plus I became a fan of Hawkeye during his time as leader of the Thunderbolts. Both Oliver Queen and Clint Barton have proven to be valuable characters to their perspective universes, and now we here at Crave are going to pit the two against each other.

The Tale of the Tape:

Clint Barton aka Hawkeye aka Ronin aka Goliath

Powers: Clint was trained to be a world class archer by Trick Shot. He’s also been trained in complete badassery by Captain America himself. In pique physical condition, Barton is an acrobat and aerialist with a circus background ala Dick Grayson. Barton is also a proficient leader.

Weaknesses: Women, especially emotionally conflicted super villains. Barton is after all a regular guy, he once got beaten up by an L.A. gang.

Oliver Queen aka Green Arrow aka Mr. Mayor

Powers: Is dopeness a power? Hell is dopeness a word? Well word or not, Green Arrow is the shit with a bow and arrow with the skills to create his own law of physics defying trick arrows. Ollie is also a very proficient hand to hand combatant.

Weaknesses: Bombs on airplanes, women, especially emotionally conflicted super heroines. Ollie would be dead except he was brought back from the dead by his buddy Green Lantern.
