Despite the fact that Ultimatum was stinking turd, some good has come from the series. That good comes in the form of Warren Ellis to save the day. He’s helming the new series Ultimate Armor Wars and the series has a great premise.

It’s the aftermath of Ultimatum (a lot of guys die blah blah blah) and someone from Tony Stark’s past has resurfaced. His corporation is on the brink and someone is stealing his Iron Man designs, what is an Avenger to do? Smart money says that Tony will fight like hell to get his technology back.

The Ultimate Universe now sits as a unique entity thanks to Jeph Loeb almost literally butchering several marquee characters. Now that the Universe has separated itself from its older and more popular cousins it looks like the template is going full bore into the future. Not only will there be an Ultimate Avengers title, but now we have new Iron Man as well. Stay tuned for more info.
