The hotly anticipated sequel is a go.

The first 30 Days Of Night was truly terrifying. Now it looks like Steve Niles will pen yet another startling tale of Vampires and our battle to survive their vicious onslaught. The movie is scripted by original creator Niles which lends to the idea that this sequel should be pretty good.

The synopsis for the second film is pretty straight forward. Now a widow Stella travels the world trying to convince people that the vampires are in fact real, but to no avail. Just when she’s ready to give it all up she’s approached by some fellow victims of vampires who have hatched a plan to get revenge for all the damage the vampires and their leader Lilith have done. With nothing left to lose Stella joins their cause which leads them to the seedy underbelly of Los Angeles for a final showdown.

Principal photography has begun on the project in Vancouver, Canada already so look for more information as the film progresses. Besides Kiele Sanchez the film will also feature Diora Baird, Rhys Coiro, Mia Kirshner, and Harold Perrineau.
