Big shot book editor Margaret (Sandra Bullock) is facing deportation to her native Canada, so the quick-thinking exec declares that she's actually engaged to her unsuspecting, push-over assistant Andrew (Ryan Reynolds), who she's tormented for years. He agrees to participate in the charade, but when the fake couple heads to Alaska to meet his quirky family (Mary Steenburgen, Craig T. Nelson, Betty White) the city girl finds herself in an endless line of silly fish-out-of-water moments. With a wedding in the works and la migra on the hunt, Margaret and Andrew find themselves in way over their heads.

CraveOnline's Call: Let's face it - with the extreme estrogen overdose of some of these other movies, this one is bound to be one of the less painful chick flicks you'll be dragged to this summer. After all, Deadpool's in it! (Yeah that doesn't really work yet does it - he's still got that Van Wilder thing happening.) If you have to go to a chick flick with your girl, hold your nose and go for it - this one might not be too horrible.
