Sunday's season finale of HBO's shit show "Entourage" was a star-studded affair that tied up some interesting loose ends, featuring appearances from LeBron James, Matt Damon and U2 frontman Bono.
Some questions were finally answered, thankfully, with Miller-Gold sealing the deal with Terrence's company. Ari celebrated by going on a paintball rampage, shooting the employees that he was firing. Lloyd, who we had every right to believe would be one of the splattered, was spared the firing squad and given an agent position with the firm.
Johnny re-tested for "Melrose" and did well, but was told he was too old for the part. The network loved him enough to give him a holding agreement and pay him until they can build a series around him, however, offering a hell of a silver lining to an otherwise deflating cloud. With his near-future paved and set, Johnny decides to go with Vince to Italy while his baby brother shoots the Ferrari flick.
Turtle, missing Jamie, made the decision to jump flight to New Zealand and profess his love. But right as the plane was about to take off, Jamie
returned his call and told him not to bother coming, explaining that long-distance relationships are doomed by design. To add insult to injury, Turtle was unable to get off the flight and had to endure the trip sandwiched between two obese women. He didn't waste a beat in catching the next flight to Italy to join the guys.
Eric and Sloan's screaming match on the side of the road was an emotional revealing between the two. When E said he would marry her right now, Sloan yelled "Have you even thought about this?" Eric responds, "Yes, I have," at which point he breaks out the engagement ring.
She said yes, but will their rocky relationship suddenly improve simply because she has a rock on her finger? I highly doubt it. Guess we'll see next season...
Damon was an over-the-top a**hole, to put it mildly, but it was all for a good cause - not to mention funny as hell. His appearance (and those of the other guests) was only icing on a cake that left the die-hards satiated. It was as if every ideal "what if" scenario was fulfilled in a way that could've tied up the series entirely, if need be. But the show was renewed for a seventh season, so we'll begin fresh again.
