With lots of summertime premieres as well as tried-and-true series returns, currently there’s an impressive line-up of Canadian TV programs. So here are the top 10 Canadian shows to watch right now (with pride).

10- Trailer Park Boys

This hilarious “mockumentary” gets the last place on this list because the finale aired at the end of ’08. But, you should definitely check out the episodes again, because the Trailer Park Boys’ second movie is coming out at the end of the year.

9- Heartland

Shows on the CBC tend to have a bit of a wholesome feel, but family drama “Heartland” was recently renewed for a third season, proving it’s here to stay.

8- Bob & Doug

Premiering last April, “Bob & Doug” are funny animated versions of the infamous Bob and Doug McKenzie from the iconic “SCTV.” Canada needed a good home-grown cartoon like this one.

7- Murdoch Mysteries

Detective drama “Murdoch Mysteries” debuted in Canada back in January ’08, however on June 30th, given its popularity up north, U.S. networks will start showing the first season.

6- Wild Chef

Who doesn’t love a crazy French chef who cooks goose pie and tops it off with the entire head of a, well, goose?! You’ll definitely become a fan of larger-than-life chef Martin Picard.
