It's here! The first official image of Andrew Garfield in iconic Spider-Man costume. Sony debuted the image today (not doubt to beat the countless set-photo leaks to the punch). It's certainly Spider-Man with a bit of nod towards the Ultimate Spider-Man design.
In addition to the design itself, the costume offers a decidedly emo take on Peter Parker as he scowls in a New York street. He's got his backpack, playing up the Parker-as-a-student angle and he's got his fair share of scratches. Though the villain is still unconfirmed by the studio, it's not hard to imagine that those are marks that a lizard might make...
