Blu Announcements:
Mad Max

Celebrating the 30th anniversary of Mad Max, the classic action flick arrives on Blu with a host of special features, including commentary with Jon Dowding, David Eggby, Chris Murray and Tim Ridge, the documentaries Mad Max: The Film Phenomenon andMel Gibson: The Birth of a Star and, for the first time in the US, the original Australian audio track. MRSP for the Blu-ray/DVD combo is $24.99.
Predators

This summer's sequel to the classic sci-fi actioner comes to DVD and Blu-ray on October 19th. The Blu-ray is a 2-Disc set that includes a digital copy, while the DVD comes as a single-disc version (MSRP, $39.99/29.98, respectively).
Both versions include feature-length commentary with Robert Rodriguez and Nimrod Antal as well as the full tie-in motion comics. The Blu-ray adds extensive featurettes and deleted and extended scenes.
The Robocop Trilogy

All three Robocop films come to Blu-ray (two and three for the first time) on October 5th as part of a three-disc collection, carrying a MSRP of $59.99.
Romeo+Juliet and Moulin Rouge


Two of Baz Luhrmann's biggest hits are getting the HD treatment on October 19th, each boasting brand new transfers specifically for Blu-ray. Both also include picture-in-picture audio commentaries, behind the scenes featurettes and deleted scenes. MSRP for each is $34.99.
Troll 2

With much credit to the recent documentary, Troll 2 is now heralded as the "best worst movie" and is hitting the Blu-ray format on October 5th. A truly astonishing film (and a sequel in title only), Troll 2 takes place in the town of Nilbog where young Joshua Waits uncovers an evil Goblin plot to turn people into vegetables so they can eat they (they're vegetarians, naturally). Troll 2 hits HD as a combo Blu-ray/DVD with a MSRP of $19.99.
Warren Miller's Dynasty

Warren Miller's Dynasty is set to hit Blu-ray and DVD on October 13th courtesy of Shout! Factory. Charting 60 years of skiing and snowboarding and featuring narration by Olympic Gold Medalist Jonny Moseley, the documentary looks at the greats ranging from Chris Davenport, Daron Rahlves and Ingrid Backstrom to modern athletes like Austin Ross and Chris Benchetler. The title is set for a Blu-ray + DVD combo pack with a MSRP of $29.93 or $19.93 for just the DVD.

Mystery Science Theater 3000: Volume XIX

Shout! Factory returns for another round with Joel, Mike, Tom Servo, Crow T. Robot and Gypsy, offering another four films in a limited edition box set that includes a Gypsy figurine. Volume XIX includes the never-before-released Robot Monster, Bride of the Monster,Devil Doll and Devil Fish.
The set includes a new introduction by J. Elvis Weinstein, cult filmmaker Larry Blamire’s full-fledged geek-out on Robot Monster, new featurettes on Bride of the Monster and Devil Doll, MST3K: Origins and Beyond from CONvergence 2009, original movie trailers, and four exclusive MST3K mini-posters by artist Steve Vance.
MST3K Volume XIX hits on November 9th with a MSRP of $69.97.
Roger Corman's Cult Classics
The Roger Corman Cult Classics Series continues with a number of SD-only titles, including a set of all three Slumber Party Massacre films, a double-movie disc of The Terror Within and Dead Space and a separate release of Not of the This Earth.

The Slumber Party Massacre set hits October 5th and includes films I-III alongside a brand new documentary, Sleepless Nights: Revisiting The Slumber Party Massacres. As as special pre-order treat, Shout! Factory is offering an exclusive Slumber Party Massacre pillow case with direct orders. Click on the image below to head to their online store (MSRP: $24.97):

Not of This Earth, a Corman-produced remake of his original 1957 sci-fi film, stars Traci Lords as Nadine Story, a private nurse to mysterious strange who craves blood transfusions. The DVD features a brand-new transfer, new interviews with Lords and two separate commentaries, one all-new track with Lords and director Jim Wynorski and another solo Wynorski commentary from a previous DVD release.

The Terror Within features an ensemble cast (George Kennedy, Andrew Stevens, Terri Treas and Starr Andreeff) in a post-apocalyptic underground lab, trapped beneath the surface because of a deadly plague. The DVD boasts a brand new transfer and a commentary with co-producer Rodman Flender.
Dead Space, meanwhile, features Marc Singer and Bryan Cranston in a remake of Corman's Forbidden World as two space travelers up against a deadly alien menace. Director Fred Gallo provides a full-length commentary.
Not of This Earth and The Terror Within/Dead Space are available on November 2nd with a MSRP of $19.93 for both.
Misc News
Inception UK Release

Blu-Ray.com brings word of the UK Blu-ray of Inception, housed in a replica PASIV Device briefcase, complete with a spinning top totem. There's no word yet on the domestic release but, with word bound to hit any day now, let's hope that the states get something as cool looking.
Resident Evil Wal-Mart Exclusive Steelbooks




High-Def Digest has learned that Wal-Mart is currently running a special promotion that, this week, sees four exclusive Resident Evil Blu-Ray steelbooks hit the shelves. Each is housed in limited metal packaging and, if you can find them, run $15 apiece.

The Blu-ray.com forums have turned up a similar packaging deal for Disney's upcoming Blu-ray of Beauty and the Beast. Sold exclusively at Best Buy, the steelbook package is free with a preorder of the title (and a $7.50 deposit). Though the promotion is not supposed to start until next week, people seem to already be finding the title on store shelves.
