Werner Herzog may not be a regular Tweeter himself, but will make use of the technology to communicate with fans on Monday, August 23rd as part of the promotion for the release of his latest film, My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done.
The film, hitting DVD on September 14th, stars Michael Shannon in the based-on-a-true-story tale of Brad McCullum, a man whose descent into madness parallels his performance in a Greek play and ends in the murder of his own mother with a sword. Produced by David Lynch, My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done also stars Willem Dafoe, Chloe Sevigny, Brad Dourif and Udo Kier.
In addition to the film, the DVD includes commentaries by Herzog, writer Herb Golder and producer Eric Bassett, interviews with Golder and Herzog, behind-the-scenes footage as well the short film Plastic Bag, starring Herzog as the voice of the bag.
First Look Studios will host the event for a full three hours on Monday morning beginning at 9am PST. Questions can be sent in advance of that (beginning at 8am Monday) by tweeting @1stlookstudios. Herzog's answer will be recorded on video and immediately uploaded to First Look's YouTube channel.
