To stoke the fires of excitement for the July 23rd release of action spy thriller Salt, Columbia Pictures has launched the viral game "Day X Exists" for the movie.
With great advancements in video integration, the episodic game consists of weekly tasks and videos that unveil the web-exclusive story over a nine week period. Hidden codes unlocked through various missions reveal videos and other exciting content related to the film. A new game is introduced every Tuesday, but first timers are offered the chance to catch up so they're able to be a full part of the experience.

In the game, you're part of the “Day X Taskforce”, assigned to bring in fellow agent Evelyn Salt (Jolie). Salt is suspected of being involved in ‘Day X’, a terrorist plot involving sleeper agents that occurs on July 23rd (the day of the film’s release). Salt has chosen you to help her clear her name, and using Facebook Connect to enhance the personalized experience, you're out to do exactly that.

Salt, starring Angelina Jolie and Liev Schreiber, is directed by Phillip Noyce (Clear and Present Danger, The Saint) and written by Kurt Wimmer (The Thomas Crown Affair, Law Abiding Citizen) and Brian Helgeland (Conspiracy Theory, Robin Hood). Columbia Pictures releases the film in theaters on July 23rd.
