The first official image from Kenneth Branagh's Thor is out and it shows Chris Hemsworth as the Asgard-kicking titular superhero, Thor.
Though the photo is somewhat obscured by the oh-so-dramatic shadows that tend to follow superbeings around (see: Batman), it does give us a good idea of how Thor's famous armor has been translated from page to screen.
Thor, which is currently filming, stars the likes of Natalie Portman, Idris Elba, Kat Dennings, and Anthony Hopkings, as the humans and mythological gods that Hemsworth's Thor has to contend with.
Written by Ashley Miller and Don Payne, Thor is expected to hit theaters on May 6, 2011.
