Up debuted at a strong #1 at the box office with $68.2 million last weekend, far eclipsing the #2 rated Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian , which earned $25.5 million for a  two week total of $105.2 million. The film had a budget of $150 million.

Drag Me to Hell debuted #3 at the box office, earning $16.6 million, while Terminator Salvation fell two spots to #4 this week, earning $16.1 million and raising its two week total to $90.6 million. The film had a budget of $200 million, so let's all hope than means McG's out of a goddamn job when they're looking for T5 directors.

Star Trek fell two spots to #5 this week, earning $12.8 million and raising its four week total to $209 million.

The Daily Mail tracked down Tom Hiddleston to discuss his recent casting in the role of Loki in the upcoming Thor film. Here's what he had to say…

"Loki's like a comic book version of Edmund in King Lear, but nastier," said the future villain. "Loki's skilled in black magic and sorcery. He's a shape-shifter and has all sorts of super powers from the dark arts. He can turn clouds into dragons, things like that. Ken wants Loki to have a lean and hungry look, like Cassius in Julius Caesar. Physically, he can't be posing as Thor."

Sounds like the vision is locked tight on this one, and all signs point to this being a strong link in the Marvel film chain. More Thor news:

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost's geek alien road trip comedy Paul just got a hell of a lot funnier. Seth Rogen, Jason Bateman, Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader and Jane Lynch have all joined the cast. Rogen won't be seen in the movie, however - he's voicing an alien character.

Pegg and Frost, who wrote the script, will play two science-fiction fanatics on a road trip to Comic-Con whose conspiracy dreams come true when they trek to Area 51 and encounter an escaped alien named Paul. As was announced last year, Superbad and Adventureland director Greg Mottola will be directing. The movie starts shooting in June.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chevy Chase has joined the cast of the upcoming film Hot Tub Time Machine. Chase will play a repairman that offers little gems of wisdom throughout the film, which centers on the tale of a group of guys who while relaxing in their hot tub are transported back to 1987 and set out to rediscover their "mojo".

Shooting has already begun, with the film aiming for a February 2010 release date. Starring in the film are John Cusack, Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson, Clark Duke, Lizzy Caplan, Crispin Glover, Sebastian Stan, Charlie McDermott.

What a hot little bitch: According to an interview with Times Online, Megan Fox has no interest in playing the role of Wonder Woman.

"Wonder Woman is a lame superhero," said the sluttilicious Fox. "She flies around in her invisible jet and her weaponry is a lasso that makes you tell the truth. I just don't get it. Somebody has a big challenge on their hands whoever takes that role but I don't want to do it."

The article, which you can check out here, also states that Fox turned down the chance to take over for Angelina Jolie in the reboot of the Tomb Raider series.

The film hits theaters on August 28. Be there.

CineFOOLS has posted kick-ass interview with Thor co-writer Ashley Miller talking about the Marvel Studios comic book adaptation. Here's an excerpt from the article:

"Not in the sense that you'd want to see a generic "dark" take on Thor, but in the sense that you want to feel Thor's rage when he rages. You want to see him fight like hell, and take as much he dishes out -- maybe more. You want to have a visceral reaction to the guy, and what happens to him. You don't want his adventures to be clean and antiseptic. You want to see the dirt, and grime and blood. You want to feel every bone crunching moment of every fight. And when he unleashes the storm, you want to feel like you're seeing the power of a GOD at work."
