If you’re a filmgoer like me then you really enjoyed the new Watchmen movie. The film had it all, action, suspense and intrigue all rolled into one big film. This is easily one of the biggest films of 2009. Now the movie is coming to DVD and Blu-Ray for your home enjoyment.

The director’s cut of the film will feature 25 minutes of additional footage that includes more footage of Rorschach and a scene featuring the death of Hollis Mason one of the stories pivotal characters. The DVD hits stores on July 21st and will feature a new interactive technology provided by Warner Bros. Maximum Movie Mode. This mode promises a first of its kind bonus feature that showcases a multi-story presentation of the director’s cut. Hosted by Zack Snyder himself, the feature will offer in-depth scene analysis, picture in picture videos from the cast and crew, side by side comparisons of the graphic novel and the film, photo galleries and more.

Facebook users can now connect to the launch with Watchmen Director’s Cut BD-Live. With Facebook Connect, users can interact with their friends from Facebook, update their Facebook status while in BD-Live and invite their Facebook friends to a Live Community Screening.
