Bride Wars
Release Date: January 9
CraveOnline's Call: Yipee, Kate Hudson in another cutesy comedy. This whole Bridezilla movie thing was bound to happen sooner or later, so let's get it out of the way now and be done with it.
Che aka The Argentine
Based on the life of the revolutionary Che Guevara (yeah, the guy on the t-shirt you bought to impress that chick that one time), this film tells the man's story from his Argentinian beginnings as a doctor to his immersion in Cuban politics and eventual murder in Bolivia. This is the first installment of a two-part film series.
CraveOnline's Call: Based on the thick fog of epic failure that would envelop everyone involved if this were anything less than a masterpiece, we'll go ahead and give this one the benefit of the doubt. Especially given Benicio's acting chops and believability as the doomed revolutionary. There's a specific vision being shared, and I can't wait to see what they've done with it.
The Unborn
Casey Beldon (Yustman) is tortured by horrible dreams and haunted by a terrifying ghost. She receives spiritual guidance from Sendak (Oldman), who helps her uncover a family curse: a creature with the ability to inhabit absolutely any host body.. and it's getting stronger. Her only chance to survive is to close a doorway to another world that her unborn twin pried open.
CraveOnline's Call: Have another look at that synopsis. If that's not the most retardedly batshit-crazy thing you've ever seen, I'm glad I'm not you. This one's just a bit to out there for my tastes, but who knows? It could kick ass. Somehow.
