Dexter heads to CBS

Showtime's heavy hitter, Dexter heads to CBS.

By Aaron Seaney
So a few months back you may have read an interview with Michael C. Hall, or perhaps you read the preview of the second season of Dexter and then if you did read those and you wanted to watch Dexter you would of course had to have Showtime.

Well the day is approaching where that will be no more. On February 17th, 2008 Premium Cable Channel Showtime will start airing Dexter on CBS. Dexter’s second season just finished on Showtime and their season finale was the most watched episode they have ever had in the history of their channel, trying to expand their already large audience they have decided to move it to Network cable.

Dexter is the story of a blood splatter forensic specialist by day that by night turns serial killer. The kicker is he only kills people who have gotten off of criminal charges scot free. The first season follows his intense pursuit of a serial killer who continues to try playing games with Dexter. Some people question this bold move on the part of CBS considering the extreme content of the Showtime Show, however, come February 17th, we will find out if this move will work for them or not. Make sure to catch Dexter on CBS Feb. 17th at 10:00-11:00 PM ET/PT.
